Dr. Eric Guillemette has over 350hrs in post doctoral neurological studies to help diagnose and treat all sorts of different specialized conditions. Dr. Guillemette is one of only two healthcare providers in the Ottawa area who have been attributed with the title Chiropractic neurologist from the American Chiropractic Neurology Board. Dr. Guillemette is also board eligible for his Fellow of the American Board of Brain injury and Rehabilitation and Fellow of the American Board of Vestibular Rehabilitation.

Dr. Guillemette performs a full neurological exam on all his patients that are suffering from complex neurological conditions. Additionally, he utilizes advanced diagnostic tools such as a Videonystagmography, saccadometer, and (CAPS) comprehensive assessment of postural systems, to help him diagnose his patients.
Once Dr. Guillemette has properly assessed and diagnosed his patients, he is able to provide state of the art treatment strategy to help his patients recover.

Dr. Guillemette has extensive expertise treating all sorts of athletes. His skills in myofascial and soft tissue therapies makes him very adept at treating all sorts of musculoskeletal injuries. Additionally, Dr. Guillemette is extremely skilled at treating extremity injuries. Feet, ankles, knees, shoulders, elbows and hands can all be treated. Depending on your injury, a range of different therapeutic approaches can be used to help rehabilitate your injuries. Dr. Guillemette was lucky enough to be selected as one of the on site medical staff for the NORCECA world volleyball tournament. Dr. Guillemette provided his skills and expertise to help treat the athletes throughout the tournament.
Clinical Neuroscience
Dr. Guillemette is one of only two healthcare providers in the Ottawa area with the specialized accreditation of the American Chiropractic Neurology Board. The practice of clinical neuroscience is typically done by a healthcare provider with an expertise in neurology. Clinical neuroscience depends on a clinicians ability to perform a comprehensive neurological exam with their patients. Once the diagnosis is determined, specific treatments are performed on the patient to rehabilitate the patient from their condition. Therapeutic activities change significantly between the patients as they are intended to meet the patients specific needs. Although the therapeutic activities may look unique in their application they are all based on scientific studies. Clinical Neuroscience practitioners typically combine different types of therapies in unique ways to improve the chance of making neuroplastic changes.
American Chiropractic Neurology Board
The American Chiropractic Neurology Board is a specialty board in neurology in the chiropractic profession. The ACNB administers an annual computer-based examination and an annual performance or practical examination at least one time per year. The applicants need to have taken 300 hours of post-doctoral education and training in functional neurology in order to be eligible for the examination. The successful candidates who pass all examination criteria become Diplomates of the American Chiropractic Neurology Board (DACNB).

The American Board of Brain Injury and Rehabilitation is a neurological specialty certification board. Fellows must be a licensed health care provider that has completed a minimum of 350 credit hours of training in Brain injury and Rehabilitation in an ACFN approved educational program. Applicants must past a board examination in order to obtain their fellowship.
The american board of vestibular rehabilitation
The American Board of Vestibular Rehabilitation is a neurological specialty certification board in the subspecialty of Vestibular Rehabilitation. Fellows must be a licensed health care provider and must complete a minim of 150 credit hours of training in vestibular rehabilitation, and 200 hours in training in clinical neuroscience in an ACFN approved educational program. Applicant must past a board examination in order to obtain their fellowship.
